Much has been written already about this 'magical' number, and whilst we try to be tolerant about most things on this site, we remain sceptical about numerology and the suggestion of any supernatural properties of the number eleven.
So what is the evidence? Read on!
On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, Allied countries mark the end of World War One (which you will notice, has eleven characters).
According to Uri Gellar, eleven is supposed to have caused the appalling disaster from the 2004 Tsunami in Asia. This occurred on 26th December, and since the digits of that date add up to eleven (2+6+1+2=11), this gives proof positive that eleven caused the Tsunami.
Skeptical? We hope so. But let's look a bit deeper. 'Asia tsunami' has eleven letters, and eleven countries were hit by the disaster. The 7-Eleven company became one of the major donors of charity relief for victims of the tsunami.
Jan Egeland, the top U.N. official for emergency aid, said that eleven billion dollars had been promised from donor countries. This sounds a lot, but the individual families of the Tsunami battered tourism and fishing economies received little aid in comparison to those affected by the attack on the World Trade Center on 11th September 2001. This tragedy, according to Uri Geller, is another example of the power of eleven.
Here we can see photographic proof that eleven is really Satan himself. After the planes ploughed into the buildings, huge plumes of smoke billowed out and it wasn't long before people could see, adding to the horror, that Lucifer himself was revealing his involvement in the tragedy. Or did it mean that the Devil was at work in the World Trade Center and the suicide attacks brought him out of the buildings? (Well, OK, most people now accept that this photo was a hoax. By the way, isn't it strange that nobody has seen Satan, yet we all instantly recognise him? Pointed beard, horns, etc. Take a peek at our page on the Sun Cross, which helps to explain why.)
Anyway, back to the evil number eleven.
And if you are still unconvinced, the World Trade Center buildings had 110 floors and were two giant columns that looked like a big '11'. Just a few proofs that Osama bin Laden wasn't responsible; it was the evil number eleven!
Actually, none of the above has been verified because frankly, we don't care how many 11s have been associated with these disasters - we just cannot believe there is any connection because we cannot believe that a number can be evil. Or lucky. And even if a number could have power, there is no reason for eleven to get so angry with the poor fishermen and villagers around the Indian Ocean, or the victims of the World Trade Center in the U.S.
But lots of people do believe in number power and yet many of these people do not believe in God, even though there is real and irrefutable evidence. Interesting.
